Senior Internship
This past summer I got the opportunity to intern with Inside Swoop in 90 at the Univeristy of North Florida. Here I got the opportunity to write stories daily for our Swoop in 90 show, anchor each show, edit, and upload. This was the best opportunity for me because I was looking for a hands on environment that would give me real-world experience. Tons of breaking news erupted over the summer; like the Jan. 6th hearings, Supreme Court overruling, Uvalde mass shooting, and the 4th of July mass shooting; which led to a full, fast paced experience. Here, I got to showcase my abilities as a writer and a reporter. I also got to build my potential of becoming a producer. This internship not only further developed and honed my skills, but it gave me an opportunity to explore and find what I really want to do and why. This was the turning point for me. Watching live, and getting to talk to the professionals really helped me bring my A-game. I learned to write more concisely after this trip!

Producing Inside Scoop
During the summer I got the opportunity to produce two shows completely on my own! This means I chose our stories, wrote them all, assigned anchors and reporters, and created a camera layout for our director and technical directors to follow.
